PAPERCOOKIE is a group of friends who collectively dropped out of the NORTH CAROLINA SCHOOL of the ARTS SCHOOL of FILMMAKING to make films on their own.


Upon leaving, JOE CHANG, JOHN FERRER, and AUBREY CURTIS moved into a house together in Asheville, NC. They have since produced numerous independent feature films, short films, and music videos, in DIY fashion, using tiny crews, mostly non-actors, and small budgets raised through crowd sourcing, yard sales, and even living in their vehicles.

Their films have won numerous awards and played in various film festivals across the country.
